New Designation for RUBY Preamp tubes
All of our 12AX7 tubes listed on page 6 of this catalog, will have new designations on them. The very lowest microphonic tubes have the designation HG+ on them. These tubes are for use in the most demanding high gain  combo amps.

For all other applications, the 12AX7 tubes with the designation HG on them are perfect.

All of the RUBY pre amplifier and rectifier tubes are tested and selected for low microphonics and hum. This insures that even the highest gain tubes will be quiet and dependable.
